Join us for our monthly Silent Book Club at our Ballard location. The Ballard chapter of Silent Book Club uses our space every third Thursday of the month to host a portion of this fantastic evening of reading!

How does it work?
No tickets required! It’s a combination of happy hour meet-up, a book club, and readers runion. Our flow is:

• 7-7:30: Chat and Get Cozy (Feel free to come even earlier to enjoy more wine and conversation!)

• 7:30 - 8:30: Read Together

• 8:30 - 9: Chat books, exchange recommendations, and say “see you next time.” We’ll take a photo of all of your reading options for the Silent Book Club Instagram!

What should you bring?
Bring whatever YOU want to read. Novel, non-fiction, a newspaper - anything!

Is it quiet?
While we do close for anyone not participating in this club, there will be music in the background and may be light conversation during service and staff work during the event. If some noise makes reading more difficult, we’d suggest bringing lighter reading like a magazine.

Can I come alone?
We sit communally so whether you come alone or come with friends, you’ll be sitting with other readers! If you’re feeling nervous to come solo, just know there will be lots of other readers just like you. It's a great way to make connections!
